Top 10 Lanzarote Restaurant Suggestions
There are plenty of good restaurants on the island of Lanzarote, but here are my favorites so far.
From Warehouse Sal – Situated on the seafront in the heart of Playa Blanca, this restaurant is my favorite. This restaurant used to be a repository of old salt has also made bags of character and charm. The service is unique as is the kitchen. There is an extensive menu to choose from and I have many favorites on the menu as onion soup, with Advocado shrimp, steak, fresh fish, paella, to name a few. This restaurant also has live piano music and is very child friendly but also romantic.
Restaurante Playa Quemada – Playa Quemada. We definitely recommend this restaurant if you're willing to go a little off the beaten track! From Playa Blanca Yaiza is right after and there is a right turn that takes you to Playa Quemada. Do not use your high heels as the car leaves a little to be desired! This restaurant serves fabulous food and always excellent fresh fish is available. Booking is definitely recommended.
Mirador de Lobos – Playa Blanca, near the entrace of the Hotel Natura Palace. This restaurant is a favorite in our family because it is definitely child friendly and has an extensive menu. The fresh fish and any special day's worth trying. The staff at this restaurant is very nice and make you feel very welcome.
Don Camillo – Playa Blanca, on the seafront promenade to port. Don Camillo offers excellent international cuisine with an extensive menu. There are three different cuisines, including grilled meat and a pizzeria. The T-bone steak is wonderful, but do not order unless you have not eaten for a while!
The Era – Yaiza, behind City Hall. This restaurant is open all week from 13:00 to 23:00 and booking is advisable. La Era is in the pretty village of Yaiza recently in an old house 300 years old, with gardens, courtyards and outbuildings restored by Cesar Manrique in a fascinating and beautiful place to eat and drink. La Era serves Canarian cuisine and authentic international cuisine.
The Bocaina – near the station gasoline in Playa Blanca, right, who travels to Playa Blanca. This restaurant has been around for 40 years although now under new ownership. Soups, sauces are made at home and prepared to order. Therefore there not come to this restaurant if you're in trouble! First class cuisine and the restaurant is closed on Mondays.
Terrace Restaurant Case Pedro – Playa Blanca. I would recommend this as an excellent fish restaurant down the promenade of Playa Blanca. Go down to the seafront and reach the beach area in front of the restaurants, turn right. You are heading for the green restaurant is on the corner. Keep walking until you see the restaurant called Restaurante Terraza Casa Pedro. Be careful, there is a restaurant next to which is also called Restaurant Pedro – make sure you go in the first restaurant Pedro. We recommend a fund that has the "fresh fish of the day" served with Canarian potatoes and gravy. This is a beautiful restaurant in the evening, but also is excellent for lunch, as you can sit by the sea in the outdoor dining area. This restaurant is normally closed on Thursdays.
The Bodegon Del Mano – Playa Blanca. This is an excellent steak restaurant. This is a small restaurant run by Chef Jesús Martínex Lebrusán and is excellent. Chef's own kitchen and is also the waiter – he has one assistant helping in the kitchen. Menu offers a very small but unique and truly recommend the steak in pepper sauce, salsa chestnut mushrooms or salsa. This is a quiet restaurant, probably not suitable for very young children and is usually closed on Mondays. It is located in the commercial area pedestrian in the first line of the sea. Marcial Pass supermarket and restaurant is on your right, immediately after Marcial no supermarket, but the right to come. It is situated below Restaurant Romantica. It is recommended that you book this restaurant before going, as it can get very busy.
Lagomar – Oasis de Nazaret – at the top of the village, on the road between Tahiche and Teguise. If you're looing to dine in a spectacular setting then Lagomar is hard to beat as this restaurant, which serves modern international cuisine, used to be part of the former film star Omar Sharif house – built on the side of an abandoned quarry by two German architects in the style of Caesar Manrique.
The menu does not appear to change much, but the very location makes the same and the quality of the cuisine is excellent.
Amura – end of marina Puerto Calero – which is a ten minute taxi ride from Puerto del Carmen. Amura enjoys a great beachfront location in the marina of Puerto Calero and offers a high quality international cuisine in an up market environment.
Like many other restaurants, Amura has a New Year's Eve spectacular planned – which means fireworks, bar free live music and dancing. Excellent for a special occasion.
So please enjoy my top 10 Lanzarote Restaurant suggestions and feel free to try for you themselves! I have yet many restaurants to try to Lanzarote, but as I own a villa in Playa Blanca, I'll be in a position to deal more as over time and then pass on my reviews future of my town.
