Cooking Whole Fish In Oven

Cooking Whole Fish In Oven
Any cheap & easy meals to make for a single person?

I live by myself and I obviously cook for myself all the time (except the occational visit to my Sister’s).

Can anyone give me some cheap easy to make meals, so that I can cut down on cost of food (and possible make some for work)?

I will eat: most meats, dairy products (cheese/eggs), vegitables (cooked only), pasta, rice, curry, noodles, and most soups.

I won’t eat: garlic, tomatos (whole/sliced, but sauce is ok), onions (finely sliced and blended into like a stew is ok), salads of any kind, salad cream (or similar) and fish.

If you could make the format of the answer brief, ie; description, item amount needed, and time taken, would be great.

Many thanks for your replys in advance.

John :o )

PS – No oven meals please, as I have an electric oven, and it would cost more to power it for a long cooked meal, then to order it out of a restruant.

My mom used to make this sweet chili and it’s really good with rice or cornbread. (Southern..can you tell? lol) It makes quite a bit and is good warmed up for leftovers.

1 lb ground meat
1 can corn (water drained)
1 can ranch style beans or kidney beans
1 small can tomato paste + 1 can water
Cumin and chili powder to taste

You can do this all in a pot or a frying pan with sides.

Brown the meat, add the tomato paste and a little water from the can. More water if you like your chili soupier and less if you like it thicker. Combine the corn and beans and then some cumin and chili powder. You can also add onion powder since you don’t really like onions. Sorry I don’t have exact measurements for the spices but it really should be to your own taste so add it and taste as you go!
