Fresh Tuna Recipes
Tuna recipes? I have been craving for tuna, but I can not find any fresh tuna in the local grocery store?
I will not have time after work to go to the gourmet grocery store. Can you think of any class containing canned tuna? A kind of pasta, perhaps?
=== Best Tuna 1 (12 ounce) package egg noodles 1 / 4 cup chopped onion 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese 1 cup frozen green peas 2 (6 ounce) cans tuna, drained 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom 1.2 (4.5 ounces) sliced mushrooms 1 cup crushed potato chips Bring a large pot of water slightly salt to a boil. Cook pasta in boiling water for 8-10 minutes, or until al dente and drain. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). In a large bowl, mix well noodles, onion, 1 cup cheese, peas, tuna, soup and mushrooms. Transfer to a 9×13 inch baking dish and top with potato chip crumbs and the remaining 1 cup cheese. Bake for 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until cheese is bubbly =============== ======= Pasta With sauce tuna 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 1 tablespoon capers (14.5 ounces) crushed tomatoes 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley 1 / 4 teaspoon red pepper flakes 2 (6 ounce) cans tuna, drained 1 (16 ounce) package dry pasta in a large skillet, heat oil over low heat. Add onion and garlic and cook and stir until onion is tender. Add the capers, tomatoes, lemon juice and parsley. Season with red pepper to taste. Simmer gently for 3 minutes to thicken the sauce. Stir in tuna and heat through. While sauce is cooking, add pasta in large pot rapidly boiling water and cook until tender. Drain well. Toss the pasta with sauce and serve. =========================
