@albedo0point39 thank you, I respect your kind guidance on the subject batter.
I believe I need to further consult our Mufti for his thoughts if the food is appropriate.
    Regards.

@ALAJOHNSTONE From an alcohol point of view, yes.

From a practical point of view – perhaps not such a good idea. You may develop a taste for beer, and then start to doubt your faith! And then where would you be?

  12. ALAJOHNSTONE says:

@albedo0point39 So do you think this is OK for me to eat being Muslim?

    I must say:

The woman is american but as far as I can see the recipe is one of the best on the internet. Just one thing DO NOT USE frozen chips. NEVER. And use some tempura flour to make it even more CRISPY and add to the beer and egg some sparkling water or soda. ENJOY

  16. LIVERLADD says:

I would also advise sprinkling vinegar on top of the Fish and Chips then add salt

  17. fanozaza says:

Thank you for the recipe! I tried it yesterday and it was delicious!

  18. albedo0point39 says:

@LaViN131 The alcohol evaporates in the cooking anyway, so there’s no alcohol in the result.

@MegaLibra1979 You’re supposed to say “fillits” You only say “fillay” if you’re speaking French. It is an American affectation to say “fillay.”

  25. AnticDispossession says:

I can’t stand recipes like this. Do we need to see each ingredient in a separate bowl, or see them poured one by one? Why does she sound like a robot and pronounce it “fillit”.
