Recipe For Baked Cod

Four delicious fish recipes
Many people underestimate the health benefits that fish can provide. Fish is a low-fat food that provides an abundance of vitamins and minerals, and protein. It also contains Omega 3 fatty acids. This is an essential fatty acid that has been shown to help combat heart disease when included in a healthy diet. In fact, many health professionals recommend eating fish twice a week. Find a fish recipe delicious can sometimes be a challenge, so I've included four of my favorite fish recipes below. Hope you enjoy!
Citrus Poached Salmon
Ingredients:
2 1 / 2 pounds skinless salmon fillet
1 quart chicken broth
1 quart orange juice
2 cups of wine white
1 small yellow onion (chopped)
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 cups lemon grass
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper white
Getting There:
Cut the salmon into equal portions. In a large skillet, pour in the chicken broth, white wine, orange juice, onion, lemon grass and garlic. Mix the ingredients together, then add salt and white pepper. Allow this mixture to boil for about five minutes, then reduce about low boiling. Place the salmon in the mixture and cook for about five minutes, or until it becomes tender and flaky.
Baked cod
Ingredients:
1 cup seasoned croutons (crushed)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
2 cod fillets
1 tablespoon salad dressing
butter-flavored spray
Getting There:
In a bowl, combine the parsley and chopped fried bread. Baste the cod with ranch dressing, then roll in the blend crouton. Spray with cooking spray, butter flavor, then place in a lightly greased 11 x 7 inch pan. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes at 400 degrees F, or until the fish has become flaky.
Fish cakes (catfish)
Ingredients:
1 pound catfish fillets
1 medium onion (Chopped)
1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
1 tablespoon mayonnaise (recommended: Miracle Whip)
1 / 2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
2 1 / 2 cups coarsely crushed Ritz crackers
1 egg
1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
Getting There:
Place catfish in a pan and add enough water to cover fish. Let the water comes to a boil and cook the fish until well done. It scales well with a fork. Drain and mash fish with a fork or potato masher. Add the mustard, Old Bay seasoning, egg, cracker crumbs, onion and salad dressing. Mix all ingredients well. Now you need to prepare the pan for frying. Pour the oil and bring to medium-high heat. Press mixture into the shape of a fish burger and fry both sides in the oil until well done. Drain excess grease with a paper towel.
Creamy Tilapia
Ingredients:
4 tilapia fillets
Butter-flavored spray
4 teaspoon of margarine (melted)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill weed
1 tablespoon of lemon-pepper seasoning
4 teaspoon cream cheese
Five tablespoons of lemon juice or to taste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill weed
Getting There:
Grease a baking tray and place the tilapia on the sheet. Give them a light spray with cooking spray with butter flavor. Drizzle a little butter melted and lemon juice over each fillet. Season with lemon pepper and 2 tablespoons dill. Bake at 375 degrees F for 15 minutes or until fish is done. It should flake easily with a fork. While the fish is in the oven, mix cream cheese, 2 tablespoons dill, and 5 tablespoons of lemon juice. When is well mixed, microwave for just over a minute, then stir. Place the cooked fillets on plates and spoon sauce over fillets.
