Some British recipes good?
Can anyone give some, preferably (although the fish is fine, and thinking it vegetarian so is chicken – I have to put on my now free of breast cancer:) British recipes? Even still, please include some not so fattening recipes well, for me, you know. It can be anything – sweet, salty, dinner, lunch, tea. . . the list goes on. Thank you! I

This is a great one and have more on your site. =) Is pastor vegetable pie with mashed sweet potato Ingredients * 1 tablespoon olive oil * 1 large onion, halved and sliced * 2 large carrots (500g/1lb 2 oz total) * 2 tablespoons thyme, chopped * 400g * 200 ml red wine, chopped tomatoes * 2 cubes vegetable stock * 410g can green lentils * 950G sweet potatoes, peeled and finely chopped * 25g butter * 85 g mature vegetarian cheddar cheese, grated Method 1. Heat oil in a skillet, fry the onion until golden. Add the carrots and all but a pinch of thyme. Pour the wine, 150ml water and tomatoes sprinkle in the stock cubes and simmer for 10 minutes. Council on the can of lentils, including their juice, cover and simmer for 10 minutes until carrots still have a bit of bite and lentils are fleshy. 2. Meanwhile, boil the sweet potatoes for 15 minutes until tender, drain well, then mashed with butter and season to taste. Pile the lentil mixture in a pie plate, spoon the dough on top, then sprinkle on remaining cheese and thyme. The cake can now be covered and refrigerated for 2 days or frozen for up to a month. 3. Preheat oven to 190C/170C fan / gas 5. Bake for 20 minutes if the kitchen immediately or 40 minutes of cold, until golden and hot the whole way. Serve with broccoli. Spring chicken in a pot * 1 tablespoon olive oil * 1 onion, chopped * 500g skinless boneless chicken thighs * 300 g small new potatoes 425ml vegetable stock * salt-low (eg Kallo low salt vegetable stock cubes) * 350 grams of broccoli, cut into small florets * 350g spring greens, shredded cheese * 140 g * petits pois bunch of scallions, sliced 2 tablespoons pesto 1. Heat oil in a large, heavy saucepan. Add onion, saute for 5 minutes until tender, add chicken, fry until lightly colored. Stir in potatoes, broth and lots of freshly ground black pepper, then heat to boiling. Cover, then simmer for 30 minutes until the potatoes are tender and chicken is cooked. Can be frozen at this point. 2. Add the broccoli, spring greens, peas and chives, mix well, then return to boil. Cover, cook for 5 minutes, add the pesto and hot.
