Baking Fish In The Oven

Baking Fish In The Oven
What kind of fish is the least fishy tasting?

I have not found any fish I can eat more then 1 bite of and stand it yet but would like to eat healthier. I have heard that the best ones to eat are halibut and Mahi Mahi if you can’t stand the fishy taste. I need some recipies or some tricks or marinating ideas for these fish to bake them in the oven. Hopefully something that will help take the fishy taste out.
Thanks so much.

Call me spoiled because I live in Hawaii, but you should not eat any fish that smells “fishy” because this means that it is not fresh. It sounds like you prefer the milder white fish and Mahi Mahi is a great choice. This is the most popular way the Mahi Mahi is prepared here…..

Mahi Mahi – Onion, Caper & Lemon Sauce – 4 Servings

2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 large onion, sliced lengthwise
3 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons capers, rinsed and drained
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 1/2 pounds, 4 pieces, Mahi Mahi fillet with skin
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons parsley, chopped, for garnish

Heat oil over moderately high heat, saute onion until golden, about 6 minutes. Stir in water, pepper, butter, capers and lemon juice. Cover, keep warm.

Drizzle fish with oil, sprinkle with salt, place skin sides down, on a sprayed broiler pan rack. Broil 5″ from heat, 6-8 minutes, until fish flakes. Serve topped with onion-caper sauce, garnish with parsley.

[Other firm-fleshed white fish can be substituted, such as Orange Roughy or Tilapia.]
